Autism Project

I have been working with two autistic men who both see a spirit very frequently when others do not, at the haunted home on Woodstock Way in San Jose. I have interviewed them, logged thier behavior and interaction with the spirit. One autistic man sees the spirit every time it comes into the room and is afraid of this spirit. Other people who live here, have lived here, or work here (it is a group home for mentally challenged adults) have had encounters with this spirit. The spirit is a male, and is the former owner of the house, who died in a fire inside the home. Lately, people in the house, including myself, have been smelling smoke in various places throughout the house where there is no reason for there to be smoke. The smoke smells like an electrical fire, the same type of fire that killed the previous owner. I have also had the autistic men draw pictures of this spirit, which i may post on this blog. If you have any imput on this project, or would like to help, I would appreciate it very much. Thanks! -Collin A. Gray

Catalog Project Begins...

Hello there,
I have recently began to catalog the haunted places in Santa Cruz and other near by places. I have also taken photos of a few haunted places. I took pictures of the Evergreen Cemetery, the Santa Cruz Spanish Mission, and the home on Woodstock Way in San Jose. I will be posting those pictures soon, and would like to gather people to go back again soon, possibly at night, which is when both the Evergreen Cemetery and the Mission are most commonly active with spirits. I will also be posting the catalog, and a description of the paranormal activity at each site. If anyone has any information about a places that they feel should be in my catalog, please post it on my blog or email me. Also, if anyone would like to come along on my investigations i would really appreciate your help. Thanks! -Collin A. Gray
P.S. This is a photo of Evergreen Cemetery. The ghost of "the white lady" has been seen sweeping the porch of a non-existent shack at the top of this staircase. This staircase goes way back into the redwoods, and the graves get older as you go uphill. The white lady spirit lurks on this walkway as well as the rest of this cemetery.

Introduction

Hello, my name is Collin Gray.
I grew up here in Santa Cruz, and have lived here my whole life. I have been very interested in the paranormal and unexplained ever since was young, but only recently have been interested in investigating the paranormal seriously. Santa Cruz has a long and rich history, making it a great place to study and explore the paranormal. Recent encounters, as well as research into paranormal happenings in the area has led me to the creation of a research group to study the paranormal in this area and beyond. I am looking for people to perform my research with, from all academic, scientific, or spiritual fields of study. I, personally have a background in psychology, and have a bachelors degree in the subject from UCSC. I ask all persons who have any interest in studying the paranormal to contact me at this post, or at my email address, which is; collinagray@live.com. I would also like to hear about peoples personal experiences, videos, or photos one might be able to show me. I will also be posting my experiences, studies, and research. At the moment, I am conducting two ongoing studies into the paranormal. The first, is basically a catalogue of haunted places in the area. I am looking for roads, houses, hotels, forests, and other places that people expect to be haunted. Hopefully I can catalogue a number of places here in santa cruz, and the surrounding area, and then study each place. This catalogue would also make it easie for other paranormal researchers to find places of interest to study. The second study I am doing involves the paranormal, and Autistic people. I have found, as well as read from others reports, that people with autism, becuase of the nature of the disorder, are more open to experiencing the paranormal than most regular people. I have experienced this personally, while working with two autistic men, who both frequently see a spirit, when others in the home, without autism, do not. I am working with them to see if they are better able to experience the paranormal than people without autism. If you have any thoughts or ideas on either topic, or have a research idea of your own that you would like to share, please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you, and welcome to the Santa Cruz Paranormal Research Society.
